Description

A night terror is a sudden reaction of intense fear that takes place during deep sleep.
Night terrors usually happen after sleeping for 2 to 3 hours.
During an episode of night terror, a child may unexpectedly sit up and start yelling and screaming, suddenly uncomfortable. Breathing and heart rate may accelerate, the child may start sweating, shaking, and acting scared and upset.
