Description
Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) is a disorder related to the child’s behavior and it is affecting more and more children on school ages.
Children who suffer from this disorder act without thinking; in most of the cases they are also hyperactive and get easily distracted.
They may be able to understand what is expected of them but they have issues executing the tasks because they can’t remain seated, paying attention or being attentive to details.
Of course, all children (specially the youngest ones) act like this sometimes, particularly when anxious or excited.
But the difference between this normal behavior and ADD is that the symptoms are present for a longer period of time and they happen in different situations. These symptoms block the children’s ability to be socially active and have a healthy life at school and home.
